Dual Credits
Students must follow up with their guidance counsellor to complete application to Dual Credit.
Dual Credits offer students the opportunity to earn secondary and post-secondary credits at the same time. The Waterloo Region District School Board offers 2 types of Dual Credits:
University Advanced Standing Dual Credits
Advanced Standing Dual Credits are courses that have secondary school curriculum aligned with specified university or college courses. Students successfully completing the Advanced Standing Dual Credit course requirements which include a standardized assessment will receive both the secondary school credit and the specified university or college credit. College Delivered Dual Credits
See the Dual Credit website for more information and current offerings. College delivered Dual Credits offer students the opportunity to experience college while earning secondary credits. Students are typically enrolled in 2 classes per semester, and will attend one of the Conestoga College campuses. Schedules vary depending on the program. See Course Descriptions pages for details. There is no cost to the student for tuition, textbooks, or tools and eligible students can receive assistance for commuting to campus.
