February is Black Brilliance Month, an opportunity to highlight African, Caribbean and Black identifying (ACBi) histories, and their everyday Brilliance, though we strive to recognize Black Brilliance all year long.

WRDSB schools thrive to be places where ACBi students see their identities, stories and contributions reflected in the learning, experience belonging, and are supported to flourish.

In the WRDSB, February 9 to 13 is Black Brilliance Week. Black Brilliance Week is an opportunity for students and staff to learn more and support our recognition of Black Brilliance.

This year, WRDSB’s theme is the African philosophy of Ubuntu: “I am because we are.”
