Hello GCI Families,
The WRDSB has divided the 10 exam days into a 1:4 day split each semester, as shown on the WRDSB school year calendar. The mid-semester day, at the midpoint of each semester, is an opportunity for students and teachers to focus on a variety of assessment and evaluation products, conversations and observations that will aid students in consolidating learning and working towards a provincial standard of the overall expectations before a reporting period.
Our mid-semester (Instructional Support) Assessment and Evaluation day is Tuesday, April 15th.
- Teachers will communicate with their students the expectations in advance and notify specific students if in-person attendance is required.
- Students who attend in person will follow a regular, daily schedule, and all teachers will be available during their regularly scheduled class time.
- Though many students may be working from home, students can engage with the teacher virtually (e.g., conferencing/feedback sessions, participate in the virtual classroom, submitting owed work, etc.).
- Transportation will run at regular times.
- ACE and Bridges students will attend school with regular programming and follow regular attendance procedures.
