Dear Galt students and families,

Please be reminded that Thursday, November 6th is an Assessment and Evaluation support day.

This day is Ministry mandated, intending to support half-credit course delivery and completion, as well as to provide Assessment and Evaluation opportunities in support of student success.

The majority of our students will not be required to attend in person; they will, instead, work from home to complete any outstanding assignments or evaluations. Prior to Nov. 6th, classroom teachers will communicate course specific expectations for students to complete while at home.

The day specifically offers opportunities for classroom teachers to work with select students at credit rescue, assignment completion and/or to offer additional opportunities for students to demonstrate specific or overall curriculum expectations. Classroom teachers will directly connect with individual students (and families) who  require an in-person support opportunity. Attendance will be taken for students who need to attend in-person.

The daily timetable/schedule will mirror the regular school day schedule.

Transportation (buses, taxis, etc…) will operate as per the usual schedule.

Secondary Students in Congregated Classes and Alternative Education (ACE): Students in our ACE program will attend in-person on November 6th to ensure that they have the support needed to continue their learning.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher or the Main Office.
