It is with a heavy heart that the GCI community mourns the loss of April Patton who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. April joined GCI as an Educational assistant in September 2008 and also enjoyed coaching the Cross Country Team. 

Ms. Patton has been a pillar of strength and stability in the Life Skills classroom for many years.  She has seen so many of our most vulnerable students through to successfully completing this valuable program. Her impact on the lives of these students has been a gift and we are grateful for her support.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her  husband Andrew, and their four children – Nolan, Cameron, Brendan and Julia.

Along with our Guidance Counsellors and Administrators, members of the Board’s Critical Events Response Team have been consulted to support our students and staff.
